The Gathering Traditional Festival.

The 14th Gathering Festival takes place from Wed Feb 20th – Feb 24th 2013

The Festival will kick off on Wednesday with the hugely successful schools outreach music programme. A group of gathering musicians and dancers will visit local primary schools along with storytellers Eddie Lenihan and Ray O’ Sullivan promoting local folklore music song and dance.

This year's programme includes a superb mix of live concerts including Dervish, set dance classes, instrument workshops and lectures. The festival brings together young and old, from near to far, for a truly unique festival!
The Gathering Traditional Music Festival is regarded as being one of the best traditional events in Ireland - one review said it was "like The Willie Clancy Summer School under one roof!"

The Gathering stands out as a great festival and the variety of concerts, céilís, free sessions bring people from all over the world to Killarney each year.
