It’s all New to me!
Wednesday 28th July
So – we’re now into Golf Week & heading quickly to Bank Holiday weekend. The High Kings start tonight – which is going to be a great show. Then it’s onto the weekend with The Hothouse Flowers & then Sharon Shannon & Big Band – see the main body of the site for more.
We like forward planning here – and we have more quality acts to announce – Comedian Des Bishop on January 15th with his brand new show ‘My Dad Was Nearly James Bond’. We will be announcing a special early bird rate for this show on our Facebook site soon – see link below.
If you like laughter (and who doesn’t!) we have more comedy in the shape of Jason Bryne – playing the INEC Acoustic Club on December 3rd.
Then – on November 27th we have Music Hall legend Colm Wilkinson coming to the INEC. This is a change to hear some of the best Musical Hits – From Jesus Christ Superstar to Les Miserables sung as they should be!

Hole in One!
Friday 23rd July
Well – after announcing the Paolo Nutini date last week – he sold out in a day and a half! Amazing stuff. This week we’re delighted to put The Divine Comedy on sale – a solo show by Neil Hannon on a grand piano – it’s going to be held in our intimate INEC Acoustic Club. Tickets going fast. Talking of tickets going fast – Bell X 1 is on it’s way to selling out – so get in there quick!
This Weekend brings Josh Ritter & John Spillane to the INEC & also Seamus Beagley & Tim Edey to the INEC Acoustic Club – then from next Wednesday – it’s into the 3 Golf Week!
We’ve got a load of entertainment here – as Official Party Central of the Golf Open – with The High Kings, Showband Show, Hothouse Flowers & the wrap party night – Bank Holiday Sunday – Sharon Shannon with her big band + Mundy & Friends – going to be quite a night!

It’s great to get an act coming to the INEC which we know everyone will love and we’re proud to announce that Paolo Nutini is coming here on September 21st. Tickets on sale this Friday @ 9am – get in there quick – this show will be a sell out!
Other shows coming include Irish favourites Bell X 1 playing a rare acoustic show & also Foster & Allen bring their big night out tour to the Ballroom.
The heading of this blog brings together the fact we have new acts coming here with the fact that we have our Joe Dolan Reunion Weekend happening THIS WEEKEND! Tickets for the three main shows – Dickie Rock (Fri) / The Reunion Show (Sat) / Brendan Bowyer (Sun) – will be available on the door.

The 19th Hole?
Thursday 8th July
So – last week I mentioned something about the Irish Open. Well, we here at the INEC are very proud to say that we’ve been chosen to be the Official After Party Venue of the Irish Open – which comes here to Killarney at the end of the month.
We have the following entertainment – New Irish sensations - The High Kings – playing across the dates, The Hothouse Flowers rocking the INEC Acoustic Club & the pinnacle of the week – Sharon Shannon & her Big Band + Mundy & an assortment of friends and guest. Should be a cracking week I think!
This week we’ve had the sad news that Apres Match had to cancel their show here on the 15th due to TV commitments – but the day after they were supposed to come in we still have Cork near legend – Mick Flannery & then over the weekend – Dickie Rock, Brendan Boywer, The Joe Dolan Band and more will re-create the Showband era with The Joe Dolan Reunion Show. With that, the Cabaret & Fine Girl Ye Are + great acts like Josh Ritter, Kris Kristofferson and more – things are very busy.

Cabaret’s A Comin'!

Another way we know summer is truly here is that the Cabaret rolls into The Gleneagle Hotel. It’s our pride & joy – nightly entertainment for all!
This year we’ve got the Dublin City Ramblers, The Showband Show, Brendan Shine, Fureys & Davey Arthur, Brendan Bowyer & a Joe Dolan Tribute show with Paschal Brennan. Each Sunday brings Country Sunday to the Ballroom – no Crystal Swing I’m afraid – but lots of brilliants acts to get you dancing like – Robert Mizzell, TR Dallas, Trudi Lalor, Louise Morrissey & lots more.
As well as the above – we’re very excited about the fact The High Kings are coming for a 9 show run – first show – 28th July. The ‘Fine Girl Ye Are Show’ is still running to great reviews – The lads are in fine form and playing to mighty receptions each night.
Meanwhile – away from the Gleneagle Hotel Ballroom – we’ve been busy in the INEC Acoustic Club – with acts like Declan O’Rourke & Freddie White impressing over the last few weeks – this weekend brings the enchanting Juliet Turner to our room – I can’t wait for this one – she’s not played here for years!

Joe Dolan was one of the most loved performers to come to the Gleneagle Hotel & INEC and this July 16th - 18th we are holding our Joe Dolan Reunion Weekend - where we hope to re-create the 'showband era' in style. You could be there for Free........
Do you have a special memory of Joe Dolan? Maybe a story about meeting him or a wonderful concert? Well, now is the time to share those memories! The Gleneagle Hotel are offering a prize of a Free Stay at the Joe Dolan Reunion Weekend 2010 for 2 people.

Hello – an exciting week here at the INEC – as X Factor heroes ‘JEDWARD’ have announced they’re returning to us for two dates – August 13th & 14th. Tickets are on sale this Friday at 9am – get in quick – the last show sold out very quickly! Our Summer show ‘Fine Girl Ye Are’ has been getting rave reviews from the crowds who’ve seen it already. Come on down & see what the fuss is about. This weekend we’re welcoming Mick Hanly & Arty McGlynn to the INEC Acoustic Club on Friday night, then rising solo star James Vincent McMorrow on the Saturday in the same venue. Sunday brings visitors from Australia – children’s entertainers – ‘The Wiggles’. I think this weekend sums up what we’re trying to do as a venue – present a number of quality shows that people or all ages can enjoy – we hope to see some of you here this weekend!

Summer is now here and we had a great June Bank Holiday weekend - thanks to all of you that came along and made Ireland's Bike Fest such a success. The three big concerts we had in the INEC - Willie Nelson, Status Quo & Imelda May - all rocked the house in their own unique way.
