| It's Summertime |
|
11th June 2010
Summer is now here and we had a great June Bank Holiday weekend - thanks to all of you that came along and made Ireland's Bike Fest such a success. The three big concerts we had in the INEC - Willie Nelson, Status Quo & Imelda May - all rocked the house in their own unique way - and everyone seemed to be having a great time!
The big acts keep coming - last night Suzanne Vega (who kindly stayed behind for a signing session) played to enthralled crowd and tomorrow night is the turn of 'The Priests' - which promises to be a captivating night of music.
Another sign that summer is here is that the first of our official summer shows started on Tuesday night - 'Fine Girl Ye Are' is a show of Irish music, Song and Dance celebrating the Legendary story of The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. The show is performed by 'The Kilkennys' and wowed locals and out of towners alike with its debut. It's here every Tuesday & Thursday across the summer - so no excuse to miss out! In my next blog I'll be letting you know about what else is coming up here at the INEC & Gleneagle Hotel this summer.
